Does anyone know if the clutch master and slave cylinders on a 300GD are the same as on the car? Poor clutch pedal on mine, might as well change them both, wondering if they were main dealer only.

Clutch Cylinders

Was round looking for you about 4pm today mate, did three tip runs this afternoon with a good ton of hardcore in the back of the LWB each time, amazing how it goes the same speed when fully loaded.

Will come and see you next week, going to sort the front locker on the 280 & then sell it now the SWB is here. SWB needs clutch cylinders, steering play, exhaust blow and body sorting & no point keeping both, only need one though might miss the LWB loadspace so who knows!

Clutch Cylinders

Hi wonder if anyone can help with my clutch problem, I need a slave cylinder seal kit for my 280ge (VIN WDB46023327042042). My cylinder bore is 23.8mm but my local dealer supplied a kit (part no. A0002904167) for a cylinder 2-3mm smaller, which they say is the only part listed for the 280. My 280 has the original engine and gearbox (5-speed). Clutch operation was fine up to the seal going, so unless the master cylinder was replaced as well I'm sure the slave cylinder is original. The slave cylinder is stamped "FAG S6498". Cheers, davcon
