At top of Hampstead Heath
nice chap nice G. The usual combination
very sadly not mine....
interestingly just noticed that the cabriolets don't have the wind buffers on the rain gutters.
wouldnt make a difference on a cabrio maxwell...
different cabrio to what you have hus. It's a double lined roof and quite thick so much quieter.
maxwell, a cabrio will always make more wind noise than a hardtop equivalent.my clk is slightly noisier than the hardtop version.... a G IS BOUND TO BE NOISIER STILL, especially at anything over 60 mph. i remember speaking to a guy off ebay that was selling his touneau cover from his 460. he also owned G500 cabrio and complained about the wind noise when cruising to france in the summer.
never said it was quiet - of course it's noisier than a hardtop!!!!
all that to say that it's all the more reason to do what you can to minimise cabin noise and that the rain gutter covers make a large difference on cabin noise and probably more so on a cabrio since they will reduce the turbulence that passes down the side of the soft-top.
maxwell, mercedes obviously realised that the wind buffers on the front gutters would only be cosmeticaly logical
By strange coincidence I saw this one today too, driving along Abbey Road with the hood down very nice.
More likely that since they could never be bothered to properly engineer parts for RHDs, they were just as likely to be too lazy to re-engineer parts for a model which sees single digit production numbers...
