hi i decided to take on replacing the clutch in my 1985 300GD my self, i am now regretting it,
i have the Russek manual which i find pretty vague,

my problem is i cant figure out how to take out the starter motor bolts? is there some trick to this?

i have the drive shaft disconnected, the gear box supported , the slave cylinder disconnected etc

any comments /tricks about getting old clutch out and fitting new appreciated,

Lloyd

Very long ratchet extensions and x-ray vision (or very sensitive hands and fingers). You cannot see many of the nuts/bolts you need to get at, top of starter and top of gearbox.
Good diagrams and a second person holding a good light help (a little).
