I just returned from sunny South Africa.

We passed a G on the N1 motorway between Menlyn and Centurion during our visit. My husband almost lost control of the small VW we were driving. The G had a sticker of almost every country in the world on it, fitted with roof tent, snorkel the works. If anyone ever comes across the guy who drove that G we would give our front teeth to meet him. He obviously already lived the life we are dreaming of...an AFRICA OVERLAND!

Regards,
Yolandi

I have also just returned from SA - Cape Town and George.

Didnt see a single G out there, it must be a real enthusiasts car. Everyone seems to be in to VW Caravelle's

Having said that, the guy I bought my car from on Saturday (a Zimbabwe preacher man) was taking a LWB diesel back to Zim with him.

BTW, Where in Surrey are you?

No, SWB with English plates.

I think peter is referring to the G with the snorkel and multitude of stickers mentioned by Yolandi.

Hi Peter,

I'm not sure how the German plates look, but would say it was a European number plate. Yes it was a LWB.
