Has anyone used this website before?

I'm looking for part number: a0008303208 and it seems they have it available

Does anyone else know where I might find this in the UK?

Thanks.

Thanks for the bump, Spike!!

Would be great to hear if it is reliable/legit as I could really do with this Heater Motor!!

Ah, now that we know it's a heater motor that helps.

Definitely try Gav - for some reason I have a feeling that the heater motor might be substitutable (is that a word) for one from another model and that might well be more available and cheaper. He'll know the answer.

Re: Anyone used: german-spare-parts.net

Thanks Mark,

This is the part I'm looking for...

Mercedes Part number: A0008303208

Number as seen on the photo: BEHR 92.252.13.117

Happy to substitute with something else if a straight forward swap is possible?

Think a VW T4 was meant to have a similar part but I've not had much luck finding anything.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Anyone used: german-spare-parts.net

Have you tried here - https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/blower-parts-10449/mercedes-benz

You need to put your model/engine size or registration number to find if they have the part for your vehicle.

The parts actually come from Germany. I've usee them and they were OK.

Re: Anyone used: german-spare-parts.net

If it's a 460 heater motor I'm pretty sure one of the Sprinter vans motor is identical apart from price! Il check back and see if I have any info when I changed mine.

Thanks Spike.

please let me know if you find out the part that you used as I need a replacement as soon as possible.

As it stands I don't know if it's the motor itself, the relay attached or possibly both.

all advice welcome.

Re: Anyone used: german-spare-parts.net

Don't come on here much....

That part number would appear to be a 460 with Factory AirCon?

HEATER PARTS

460

460 2 SPEED RESISTOR A000 821 75 60
460 3 SPEED RESISTOR A000 821 68 60
460 2 SPEED BLOWER SWITCH A001 820 24 10 (ROCKER)
460 3 SPEED BLOWER SWITCH A000 540 08 45 (ROTARY)
460 3 SPEED BLOWER SWITCH KNOB A460 540 00 83 (ROTARY)
460 BLOWER MOTOR A000 830 13 08
460 BLOWER MOTOR (AIR CON) A000 830 32 08
460 HEATER VALVE A000 832 00 84
460 HEAT EXCHANGER A002 835 62 01

T1 460 OPTIONS
BLOWER MOTOR A000 820 62 42
HEATER VALVE A000 830 00 84
Both will work with the 460 set up

Lots of info and useful numbers like the above on the GWR

Re: Anyone used: german-spare-parts.net

Thanks for this Gav.

my W460 definitely didn't come with Aircon, so perhaps I was given the wrong part number.

When checking:

460 BLOWER MOTOR A000 830 13 08

I seem to get parts that just look like the blades themselves and not the full part as I posted in an earlier reply. Are you suggesting I can buy this part and just remove the centre, but keep the rest??

Thanks for your help

... and when Gav appears all is clear. What a tremendous fund of knowledge! GWOA is a good old site and rich with history. GWR is vibrant and choc full of relevant information from up-to-date knowledgeable and helpful enthusiasts. I did this job on a 460 a few years ago. Isolate the battery and go from there: SLOWLY. A 000 820 62 42 looks to be what you're after. Good luck. Nick.

Hi, sorry can't find any paperwork, all I can say is that Gav supplied it and I'm fairly sure it was suitable blower for the T1 vans, there is no notable difference.

As I recall it you get motor, blades and resistor as one assembly. E&OE

Re: Anyone used: german-spare-parts.net

Thanks, Everyone,

So it looks like I'll need:

T1 BLOWER MOTOR - A000 820 62 42
W460 3 SPEED RESISTOR - A000 821 68 60

As far as I can see, I can buy a T1 Blower motor from anywhere between £35 & £135. Any advice?

https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/oem/a0008206242

and 3 Speed Resistor from here - It's cheap, but shipping isn't.

https://www.fixparts-online.com/en/mercedes-benz-resistor-a0008216860.html

If anyone has any better suggestions, I'm all ears.

Thanks again.

Re: Anyone used: german-spare-parts.net

Hi, buy genuine MB, you don't want to be taking out again! As I recall mine was around £95 and that was around 5 - 6 years ago, your best bet is to PM Gav

Re: Anyone used: german-spare-parts.net

Sorry guys... flat out ...

The T1 motor is either a Bosch or more likely a Hella / Behr unit, the MB one has gone near £200 and probably £150 at mates rates

So i would be avoiding the £35 ones and go for a branded unit probably around £75/£80

You should get motor and blades

Resistor is only £20 or so from the dealers

Re: Anyone used: german-spare-parts.net

Thanks Doug and Nick

I do browse occasionally but i can't focus my time everywhere.... but if we all play nicely there is not only room for both but also plenty of scope to share! The GWOA and GWR are both run in different ways for different reasons and should complement each other well... having access to both should suit all people needs and personalities...

So if you can't raise me on here the you will get me on the other...

Always happy to help where i can...

Gav

PS some UK meets would help massively and always up for those as and when... I travelled to Ireland 6 times in 2019 on GWR events and even with a 1200/1500 mile round trip for each loved every one....even the one where my 463 300GD stuffed its starter motor as i was 3 hours away from a ferry sailing with 4 hours to go and ended in a Vito for that trip!

Re: Anyone used: german-spare-parts.net

Thanks to Gav and everyone else who helped out with this one. I've got the 3 Speed Resistor arriving tomorrow at the local Mercedes Dealer and I managed to find a BEHR Blower motor online arriving from Germany next week.

GWOA does it again!!

Last of the bodywork finished now, so just the blower motor to put back in then I can get it back on the road.
