In the following link you can find prices of any MB part in Germany. You only need to type the complete part number and the site will return the price in EURO including 16% German V.A.T. It's good to know before venturing to your local MB dealer and becoming very embarrased after enquiring for some prices...

Sadly, this link appears to no longer be viable. Or has DCAG somehow blocked its access outside of Europe?

No Dutch, you are right. It is no longer available...

Hi call your MB DEALER ... quote the Vin Number of your vehicle.... they will access the vehcle details on their computer tell them the bits you want and they will quote you availability and price....there are new parts available... much cheaper but not MB manufacture.if you list what you need here other members may have some advice

Anyone know if there is a more comprehensive price check somewhere?

Re: On-line parts prices (in Germany)

Not sure if there is a comprehensive price check. I am having enough problems just sorting out a part number for the front drag link for a 1987 280GE A4.LWB

I have the found a mass of numbers such A000 463 0115 /0015/0215 which are up to ident number 007238 and then 5315/5115/0105/0615

My Vin number is WDB46023327052961 so cannot be sure if I fall in the pre or post ident number 007238 or am I barking up the wrong tree.
Cheers gary

I don't understand what the problem is. If you go to a MB dealer provided with the VIN of your vehicle, it's up them to provide you with the right part. If they do not know which one it is, they are in need of a bit of training! In any event, it is unacceptable for a brand such as Mercedes-Benz to offer such poor level of customer service and I would immediately write to the customers' services of both MBUK and MB Germany.

I have just entered your VIN into my EPC and found that there are just two possibilities for the drag link of your G (meaning the bar connected to the steering in one of its sides):

A4634600105 (From ident number 007239) and
A4634630615

One has to assume that the identification number refers to the serial number of the steering fitted to your G, which is 765 502 20 087 043 (taken from the data sheet). If this is the case, the part you require is A4634600105. This is further reinforced by the fact that A4634630615 is not available according to the Russian parts' site.

All this being said, it is up to your friendly MB dealer to source the right part for your G and to bear the consequences of eventually having ordered a wrong part. So take the attached to them and let them decide which part is the correct one. With the prices they charge one would expect all this and a little bit more.

Good luck. You're gonna need it!

Re: On-line parts prices (in Germany)

Thank you very much for that. The MB spares guy was helpful but very lost and promised to source the right bit as he was unable to sort it out himself even with the right VIN . Two weeks and nothing from MB.

I signed up to the EPC and came up with the same two numbers as you but it was complicated by references to other numbers. I will now go back to them with some confidence thanks to you.

I agree that they charge so much they should give a better service. I will update you on the progress. i was not aware of a Russian EPC although I founds some info on the model on a Russian website. I suppose fully understanding the identification numbers is a big help but for me its a bit confusing at the moment. Thanks again for al your help Gary
