HI there i am right in love these g wagen's i have the chance of one but its a bit old i was wondering if it is possible to do a reshell project on these are parts available from mercedes ok any help will greatly apprechiated......

Virtually any part for the G-Wagen is available from Mercedes but at Mercedes prices meaning that it is not worth to do an extensive restoration on new parts.

But, with the price of second hand Gs hitting rock-bottom, you can always use a donor car.

I don't know about that. I spent quite a bit of time at my local merc dealer saying i want to order this or that and seems that almost each time he checked the computer it came back that the part was no longer being manufactured....

I have never had any problem getting parts from MB.I have got items from small plastic trim to exhaust brackets and never had a problem. What bits ahve they refused to sell you?

if your looking for a shell I have a perfectly good silver shell on a 230 in a barn minus bonnet and drivers door.

New to the g club

no thats on the white one thats still in the garage having an mot (2 weeks) As soon as I get it back the door is coming off and the winch is being installed in the back with a solid panel welded across where door is. You will get it as soon as I get my truck back.

Haven't refused to sell me anything, but said that Mercedes no longer stocks the parts I need, which have pretty much been interior trim parts.
