Hi all

Ok this has been no doubt asked 100's of times but what is the best way to get the timing right on the 230ge? Is it with a timing light or with a multi metre to the wee 7 or 8 pin port? Light or metre what is the procedure?

I have just done the tuning by ear then gone for a wee run - a little tweek to fuel got this right now i think but just want to be 100% sure distributor is in the correct posion.

Thanks guy's

Re: Timing

Tony,

I have not done it on myself on my current 230, but when it has been done by others it has been old school with strobe and a white mark on the crank wheel, adjusting the distributer position and clamping.

Re: Timing

Thanks Jdring

I think that's what I'm going to do. Have to get myself a timing strobe.
