Hi,

please can someone give me advice on changing the front brake pads. When I brake it pulls to one side and also you have to push the pedal quite far down(As opposed to my dads 280GE where you tap the brakes and it will stop dead!). So basically are there any tutorials please?

many thanks
Joe

Haynes manual for any model of car will give you the basic outline of the job, ie remove the old pads push the pistons back in with G Clamp and watch out for the brake fluid reservoir overflowing as you do that, fit new pads and re-assemble using loctite on the caliper bolts.

Hi check the pistons in each caliper for freedom of movement. old hydraulic oil has moisture in it and this corrodes the piston chambers which means when you press the pedal the siezed pistons will not move which gives you uneven braking.....and a long pedal....
