Re: Petrol vs Diesel G wagens

JasonGDS,

I wish, laugh maybe if I:

Changed the sparks, Reduced my tyre width, Stopped driving with a lead right foot, Re mapped the engine and drove like a really old man, I think the best I ever had on a journey was 24/25 MPG. Though just as I got the Hydrogen unit I did a 60 mile trip at 60MPH and returned 42.5MPG on the trip computer.

I will need to change the sparks, and the HT leads, as apparently they do degrade. My 500 is now 11 and a half years old with 160K on the clock, I have said at 200K I will look to spend some money on the engine. But I have never dropped past 15.5 MPG, even when following David in his G55 (who according to him has returned 28MPG - still not seen it though!)

But.... and all jokes apart, come up to the next AGM and I will take you for a spin, you to XPW and you will see what I mean..... who knows.....may even let you sit in the drivers seat.......and rev the engine a little cool

All in fun!

I look forward to that, will be nice to hear a proper motor!

I would get those spark plugs changed and correctly gapped, who knows may unleash more horses from the stables!
