Hi from delaboy new member in bucks
Hello all .My g is a 1990 5 dr m4,with 2.9 diesel which is turbocharged.I am a car dealer and sell sports cars but the g wagon is my daily driver.I have covered over 12000 miles in 10 months and it has never let me down.I have owned a g in the past along with an assortment of other 4x4s.In my humble opinion the g is the master of all 4x4s.My example has covered 150000 miles of road and off road work.I want to use it more offroad so would like advice as to what and where to purchase bits to make it a better off roader. Many thanks. :D

Hi and welcome Delaboy. I see your in Bucks? Great another G! Where are you based?
Spider1V
Welcome to the forum. Is yours a 460 or 461?
As for advice on bits to purchase to make it a more capable off-roader, the G is very capable stock other than perhaps more aggresive tyres. Any mods beyond that really depend on what you consider to be off-road and how you hope to use your G.
I'm in High Wycombe during the week, but the G's are up in Yorkshire.
Would I count as an 'honoury' Bucks G-owner????
Regards
Richard

hello,
Im originally from chalfont st giles, and went to Dr. Challoners in amersham, but now spend most of my time in Norwich studying medicine, which is also why im now g-less.
Spider (Joe) lives in Old Beaconsfield, quite a little hub for g's now back home it seems!
Tom
Welcome to the forum. Is yours a 460 or 461?
The first W461 290 GDs were only made in 1991 and with 5-speed manual gearbox only.
So his must be a W460 which had a OM602D29 transplanted at a later stage before or after it had been turboed.
Hi Spyder i am in amersham. You?
As Tom has mentioned in Old Town Beaconsfield!
Is yours a white LWB? And did you lend it out for a time?
Spider1V
Yes I loaned it to a mutual freind.its had loads of work done since then.
Wuhooo! I know the G then! I even have a picture of it somewhere!
will be looking out for you in future! The other G's in and around me are;
Wendover 2 (one grey SWB and one gold LWB) owned by the same bloke - not a GWOA member but was selling his grey one on the forum a few months back
Amersham 1 White LWB (yours I think)
