North Devonian G
Hello all
Im a brand new owner of a not so new G wagen!
I've always been a fan of the G but never seriously thought about buying one until the oportunity arose!
I bought it from a local farmer who has owned it from new and who also used to be a member.
It needs a bit of work! Hopefully shouldn't be to difficult to get through an mot so I can do a rolling restoration and use it on weekends for DH mountainbike uplifts.
Heres a few pics
Arty!
Oh and a it was a two for one deal buy a short wheel base and get a long wheel base for spares! (definatley not repaiable!) although the engine and box has only done 70 000miles and looks alright!
This is another project that I worked on prior to the buying the G a bit different as it actually struggled to drive on road let alone off!
Cheers
Jon
Hi Jon and welcome.
What a find! Buy one and get one free! Best deal I have seen.
I see that maybe at weekend one like a bit of 'Low riding' 8)

Hi Jon,
Looks like a well worn G you've got there, congratulations. Keep us posted on progress. Joe at MB parts in Taunton is very helpful....just in case you can't find what you want on the LWB
Tom
Welcome. Rust in the usual places on the white g, is it a diesel? Like the wheels on the Caddy 15" steel where did they come from?
Hi ,Not a bad project! How far north are you? There's two G's in Bude
Wasn't a Red 463 was it? I was camping between Barnstable and ilfracombe at Easter. Mega off road track near Happy Valley.
wellcome N.D.V.
Hey everyone thanks for the greetings cant wait to get it legal.
Im based in Barnstaple. Only remember seeing one other up this neck of the woods.
Grecian thanks for the contact name at MD Taunton Im pretty sure its the closest dealer to me up here.
The white G wagen is a 300gd and so is whats left of the red one!
The wheels on the caddy are 13"x7" german wellers from memory I had a search on ebay.de for them and used my little knowledge of german and babelfish to chat to the seller
