Where can I get the parts to change my diff ratio's, and what should I change it to? My car just does not have the power to roll the big wheels, and I HATE turbo's, so an engine upgrade is out of the question.

Anyone done it before?

Re: Diff ratio

Hi Christo the different axle ratios listed in the G wagon workshop manual are----
5.286...4.857...4.375...4.111... your 463 manual gearbox has 1st gear 3.856..2nd gear 2.182...3rd gear 1.365...4th gear 1000...5th gear 0.799...with 5.286 diffs...standard tyres should be 205/82 R 16....your engine should develop 83KW at 4600 rpm at mean sea level....

Re: Diff ratio

sorry christo, i forgot that this is cyprus and everyone is so f@@@ing laid back :?

but, i have found a company that builds diffs for many vehicle varieties.

one bit of good news i have for you is that you dont need my 6.17 diffs that cost almost 1500 euros!!! infact you cannot use them in a 463. if i am not mistaken, karl on p3 did a diff conversion on his petrolG300 and he used 5.3 diffs from a 460 or 4.9's. either way, guido has what you need

Christo

Just put 32"s on my LC, the 4.2TD seems to be unaffected, may be this is the route to go!

ps when are we all going out again? The shooting seasons over and I've almost finished all of the DIY!

Re: Diff ratio

Keep your 4.2!!! When you finally come shooting you can bring it and try to go the places my "old slow G" goes...

PM me when you are free, but we only have 4 weeks on the deer.
